Veritas Allies Team Building Week

Date: August 2-8, 2020 Location: Portland, Oregon

In early August, the Veritas Allies team came together in Portland for a dedicated week of collaboration, alignment, and team building. At a time when growth demanded clarity and connection, this session was designed to strengthen our foundation—both operationally and culturally—while creating space for creativity, strategy, and fun.

Building the Foundation: HR & Operations Alignment

We kicked off the week focused on the essentials—because “we gotta do it” moments matter. Key discussions included:

  • Organizational chart development

  • Clearly defined roles and responsibilities

  • Healthcare enrollment and benefits

  • Computers, systems access, and password management

These conversations ensured every team member understood how their role fits into the broader Veritas Allies ecosystem and how we support one another day-to-day.

Strategy Sessions: The What, When & How

From 1:30–3:00 PM, we aligned on the bigger picture—who we are, what we do, and where we’re going. Topics included:

  • Mission statement and guiding principles

  • Solutions overview and future agenda

  • Company alignment across EquitasHP, EquitasDX, and MedicusSTAT

This session created a shared understanding of how each company contributes to the whole and how we move forward together.

Operational Deep Dive

From 3:00–4:00 PM, the focus shifted to operations:

  • Step-by-step workflow mapping

  • Cross-team coordination

  • Identifying gaps and opportunities for efficiency

The day concluded with a Team ThinkTank & Feedback Session (4:00–5:00 PM)—an open forum designed to surface ideas, concerns, and insights from across the organization.

Collaboration, Growth & Strategy

Additional sessions throughout the week addressed:

·       Joint ventures and partnership strategy

·       Opportunities pipeline and assignments

·       Leadership discussions focused on scalability and accountability

These conversations reinforced our commitment to thoughtful growth and intentional collaboration.

Team Building & Culture

Of course, no Veritas Allies gathering would be complete without leaning into connection and fun. Activities throughout the week included:

  • Mixologist Olympics (who really makes the best drink?)

  • Iron Chef Dinner Competition

  • Matey Olympics

  • Wine Country outings

  • Razor off-road adventures

  • Virtual reality and game night

  • River and lake floats

  • A special guest appearance

These moments gave us the chance to step outside our roles, build trust, and strengthen relationships that directly impact how we work together.

Looking Ahead

This week in Portland was more than a team-building event—it was a reset, a realignment, and a reminder that strong culture and clear operations go hand in hand. The conversations, ideas, and connections formed during this time continue to shape how we collaborate and grow as the Veritas Allies family.

We left Portland aligned, energized, and ready for what’s next.
