Reflecting on Growth, Culture, and the Power of Being Together

As we close another remarkable year at Veritas Allies, our team gathered at Cerritos Beach, in Baja California Sur, Mexico for an end-of-year retreat that left us inspired, grounded, and deeply grateful.

A Culture Built with Intention

From the beginning, Veritas Allies was built with intention—especially around culture. Our guiding principle, #wearesecond™, reflects an others-first mindset that shapes everything we do: how we work together internally, how we serve our partners and clients, and how we show up for the industry as a whole. Experiencing that culture in action during our retreat was both humbling and affirming.

Over the years, our organization has evolved through learning, refinement, and meaningful change—from how we recruit and train, to how we lead, hold accountability, and continuously improve. This year’s retreat was particularly impactful as our core leadership team has undergone significant transformation. Today, our organizational structure truly reflects who we are: people who care deeply about one another and about the process, not just the outcome.

The Finish Is in the Process

We’re constantly reminded that “the finish is in the process.” Rather than chasing a distant goal or abstract finish line, we focus on doing the work the right way—together.

That philosophy was reinforced as team members were joined by spouses, significant others, and close supporters who play a vital role in our collective success. Real relationships aren’t built through screens alone; they’re built through shared time, conversations, and experiences. Baja provided the perfect setting for those connections to deepen.

Growth and refinement are rarely easy—but they are essential. Each of us may define a “quintessential life” differently, yet the shared experiences of this retreat confirmed that we are aligned at the core. We’re building something meaningful, together.
